independence

As I grow older, I am learning that independence is a lot more beautiful than it is. There are a lot of changes that will happen in our lives, there will be a lot of realizations, there will be a lot of confusions and disappointments that will greatly affect our lives. That's why independence has been my escape-- to be with your own company, to love yourself freely because this is the kind of feeling that doesn't hurt.

People come and go. Some will stay, others will leave. Nothing in this world is inevitable except change. Permanence is also an absence. So you need to be independent enough. You don't need to create a wall within yourself, you just have to be strong enough-- strong enough to accept that things will fade in time. You can live longer but the pain of living with that feeling of absence makes us long to leave--so you should be independent. If you can fight it, then you can win it with conviction. Just be true with your feelings, with your actions and with your words. Learn to stand on your own. This is a battlefield--if you can't withstand the storm then losing will be your option. Would you like that?
